There is ample evidence that physical activity is necessary for children`s physical and mental health and supports academic achievements. At the same time, increasing sedentary behaviour and decreasing physical activity levels of children are a serious concern for Estonia.

Consequently, there is a need for an evidence-based interventions aimed to increase the levels of physical activity and to decrease the sedentary time of school-children throughout the school day.

Researchers have found that more than 1 in 20 kids in Estonia has a dizziness or balance problems. In late childhood (10-12 years) balance control is weakened during sexual maturation.

As a result, parents and teachers should let children play games where they have to jump, run, walk, dance or do some aerobics. The movements that the child learns according to his age are later necessary for the development of balanced motor coordination.

Intentional loss of balance allows you to more clearly experience the location of the body's center of gravity, supporting your limbs and finding a new position of balance. The balance depends on the body and the ability to feel the weight of the body.

"Balance" develops the ability to concentrate. It supports the logical thinking and increases stress tolerance.
